The Retail Analyst : Channel is responsible for supporting/enabling the channel/customer Retail team for the Mars Wrigley Confectionary North America business. The ongoing objective of this position is to continuously improve retail reporting and resource capabilities by demonstrating strong analytical skills. As well, this role will establish close working relationships with a variety of internal, external and broker partners to achieve these objectives. With full understanding of the customer's and sales organization's retail objectives, this role will help Retail team deliver objectives by demonstrating the following:
:Use business tools to extract and analyze data that will increase sell through, improve inventory management, show category growth opportunities, and improve on shelf availability.
:Use internal/external data to research operational issues and recommend solutions that will improve retail operations.
:Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal channel/customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements that deliver quality reporting.
:Work with 3rd Party Broker as applicable to ensure data needs are met.
:Work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as channel/customer teams, retail team and other internal entities as necessary
:Perform ad hoc reporting at the request retail/channel/customer leadership
:Assist retail field associates as necessary to support assigned projects that will improve the efficiency of the retail operations.
Key Functional Skills/Knowledge
:Advanced Excel Skills required
:Channel Specific experience required : MSA, Retail Link, TD Links, etc...
:Nielsen experience preferred
:Previous retail experience preferred
:Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make appropriate recommendations
:Ability proactively identify appropriate reporting needs and data sources
