Location: Bentonville Ark.

Position Description Overview
The Project Portfolio Director is responsible for managing the Walmart portfolio of projects and driving complex, high priority initiatives to completion. This individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure and will be accountable for the delivery of projects on time, within budget and within scope. The Project Portfolio Manager will be responsible for proactive communication of the status of all projects to Walmart on a regular basis and will exemplify strong communication and management skills.
Job Responsibilities
* Responsible for managing the portfolio of projects and/or programs undertaken by an organization or division in a manner that ensures their alignment with the organization s strategic objectives. Scope: 1. Develop Act as process owner of the project submission and prioritization process Develop and document the project portfolio model. Institutionalize the project submission and prioritization process. 2. Measure portfolio, health, status, and variances against a baseline 3. Maintain the Portfolio on an ongoing basis to include, but not limited to, existing and pending project, consolidated work plan, portfolio change control, strategic alignment, ensuring all project add value, & portfolio insights and recommendations, 4.Facilitate and evaluate project selection and prioritization and the relative risks involved 5. Facilitate Demand Management processes as applicable 6. Communication and Reporting to stakeholders using effective reporting tools. Reporting needs to include insight, options, and recommendations and demonstrate compliance with organizational goals.

* 6. Act as an escalation point for projects that may be in jeopardy due to risk or issues experienced during the project life cycle.
* 7. Expedites projects, planned or unplanned, as necessary to meet the firms overall objectives.
* 8. Ensure the projects delivered to the project manage office include all necessary artifacts and SME knowledge required to make the project successful.
* Manages the portfolio of projects and/or programs that require actions. This management responsibility includes ensuring engagement of departments within Business Unit and/or input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). In addition, the Portfolio Manager works with both App/Dev and other PMO s to ensure the prioritization of the divisions portfolios (GFS, GBS, NSS or Corp) are alignment with the organization s strategic objectives. Evaluate the input of projects/work requested and ensure that the appropriate resources are engaged for the work. Requires frequent contact with both internal customers and product requestors.
* Skills/Experience Proficient in Microsoft Office tools Proficient in Microsoft Project and or Microsoft Project Server Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Proven success in delivering projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments

Job Requirements
* Bachelor s degree, 8-10 years experience, or equivalent. Plus 10-15 years progressive management experience, including large-scale program and project management and personnel management. PgMP and/or PMP preferred. Skills/Experience Proficient in Micro.
