**Responsibilities and Qualifications**
The Director-Clinical Engineering serves Mercy Health System as Mercy Clinical Engineering Services (MCES) program operations and technical support leader within an assigned geographic region. Responsible for managing the assigned Strategic Service Unit (SSU) and/or Non-Mercy owned Hospitals; The Director-Clinical Engineering has operational and program growth accountability for both Mercy owned as well as non-owned affiliated entities; leads and supports the MCES site and shared service managers in the assessment and selection of clinical technology to be procured and deployed within the region; serves as an resource for operational management and development of repair and maintenance methodologies on selected equipment and related systems through the standardization of internal and outsourced services (i.e., demand service coordination, maintenance service agreements, and part discount programs); establishes and delivers outcomes to fiscal goals for facilities within region. Incumbent provides support and guidance in the development of MCES regional and hospital based continuous quality improvement initiatives and maximizes patient safety by auditing the MCES programs within the region for the proper use, application and operational performance of patient care equipment. Position has direct reporting relationship to the System Director of Clinical Engineering and a dotted-line reporting relationship for site level communication of program activities and deliverables with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) within the SSU.

+ Associate s degree (AA) in Biomedical Equipment/Electronics Technology or equivalent from a two year college, technical school. Military training may be substituted or equivalent combination of education.
+ Five years experience in the management of biomedical/clinical equipment management programs.
+ ICC Certification eligible
+ Business Services operations, Computer operation, General Office Software Products, Oral and Written Presentation Ability to travel
