Spring 2018 Intern Needed

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Intern will serve in a support capacity for the marketing team which includes administrative duties such as production timeline development, marketing request processing, copy writing for various marketing materials and publications and back-up support for graphic design. May require independent judgment in the disposition of routine matters without direct supervision. Will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support for the department. In addition to other duties as assigned, will provide support for the department through copy writing, proofreading and graphic design support. Answering of the telephone may be included with research on answers for internal and external customer questions. Deals with a diverse group of members, staff, and customers at all levels of the organization. Many types of work assigned may be repetitive in nature and, once learned, can be performed independently or with limited supervision. New or unusual assignments may require more careful instruction and supervisory review.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Work requires: excellent writing skills and proofreading; MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud product knowledge; continual attention to details. Must exhibit excellence in Customer Service with all customers. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a High School education or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some college preferred.
